HMV Shibuya posted a sign notifying customers that the shop will close in August.

In the past few months HMV already gave up the top floor for a guitar shop, but the end came faster than expected.

Gibson website had a temporary bug (which I can’t seem to reproduce).

Luckily, I took a screen capture showing that the Dark Fire MSRP is 3600 Yen, about $40.

Twitter is out, which forces me to write actual blog posts rather than 140 character tweets.

Summer Sonic Festival started a dedicated channel on youtube, which includes playlists of the lineup and messages from artists.

Surprisingly, the channel has only 112(!) subscribers.

First caught these news at Akihabaranews website.

Gibson will release the Dark Fire Guitar, A Robot Guitar combined with a Digital guitar towards Christmas. Personally, I am more interested in a conventional Les Paul Analogue Guitar.

Why am I writing about this? Because of the Gibson Dark Fire contest :
The rules are simple, write a song about the new guitar, post it in youtube, and the song with most views wins the contest. I LOVE the idea (though it disqualifies me from entering and winning).

Tami Kanazawa and Yuval Admoni performance

Tami Kanazawa and Yuval Admoni will perform this month in Einav Center Tel Aviv. They will perform Liszt pieces on two pianos.

Concert is on the 25th of November, at 20:30.

Just bought a Yamaha RGX A2 + A Marshall Amplifier – the AVT20X.

Can’t really play, but at least I have the equipment to pretend I do.
Will try to post actual photos of my gear later this week.
