Constantly shifting, clicks were not recognised.<\/p>\n<p>After researching the web, I found out it is a known problem which can be easily resolved by &#8220;tuning&#8221; the trackpad screw.<\/p>\n<p>So, I opened my MaBook, removed the battery and to my surprise I found out that the trackpad is floating around with screws missing.<\/p>\n<p>On the left, two screws were present but not connected. On the right, both screws were missing. Found one of them inside the box, but one of them is still missing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.telyas.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3770_e.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1051\" src=\"http:\/\/www.telyas.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3770_e-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3770_e\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.telyas.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3770_e-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.telyas.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3770_e.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telyas.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3771_e.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1052\" src=\"http:\/\/www.telyas.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3771_e-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3771_e\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.telyas.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3771_e-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.telyas.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_3771_e.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>How can this happen?<\/p>\n<p>Not sure, but a few months ago I had to go Apple to fix my Macbook after the fan made very loud noise which resulted in Macbook not booting.<\/p>\n<p>Apple replaced the chassis which made my very happy, BUT trackpad problems started shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>So,<\/p>\n<p>1) What caused the Fan issue &#8211; a screw , broken plastic or similar &#8211; I was never told<\/p>\n<p>2) Is it possible that Apple Service (Genius) failed to assemble my Macbook ?<\/p>\n<p>I will never know.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, I reassembled, trackpad works well. &#8230; Still missing a screw.<\/p>\n<p>Where can I find one?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For a while now (more details later), my MacBook Pro trackpad was misbehaving.
