Page Download Time

Google Webmaster tools provide great statistics on page Download time.

As it seems from the following graph, download time for a page on my website was quite bad in June but then improved significantly in July.

website download time

Possible reasons:

  • Godaddy hosting improved in July.
  • I am using both Google Analytics and Woopra to track traffic, it could be that one of them has slowed my website down

Will monitor this further.

Google Wave

I am lucky enough to be included in the Google wave “Sandbox” program, which means I have two Google wave account I can play/develop with.
Assuming that there are enough Google Wave related buzz and blogs, I don’t bother reporting my experience.
Nevertheless, if you are interested in my views, show your interest by writing a comment to this post.

Back online

I have been away from the Internet for the last 3 weeks as my family and I have relocated to Japan. Some errands (as well as internet connection) took longer than expected and still consume a lot of my time.

Happy New Year

2009 already started in Japan, and in Israel will start in a few hours.

So, a very happy new year to everyone!

あけましておめでとうございます

New Theme

Hope you enjoy the new theme. I have used the Dyne theme, which I have modified here and there. Removed a few pieces, changed the fonts and will also add proper support for quotes.

Blog upgraded to WordPress 2.7

I am now looking for a new theme, as the one I am using is ancient, and has more than a few glitches. It will take a while, as I will need to merge analytics and adsense into the new design.

Fujitsu LTE

Fujitsu LTE website shows two LTE webstation, called the BBU and RRU, but does not describe the difference between them. I did not attend CEATEC Japan, but the page shows two photos taken at the event.

If seems like the key differentiator for Fujitsu is the 4×4 MIMO!

It will be interesting to see how Fujitsu will compete with Ericsson, the lead LTE vendor, for the Docomo deployment.

See press releases from both vendors:

1) Docomo Ericsson LTE

2) NSN, Fujitsu Team for Docomo LTE
